Just out of interest I wondered what Mia's last name is. It isn't mentioned in any of the books?

Hi Sophie. I am not sure how this happened, but I don't think Mia's surname is mentioned at all! I really can't say why - but it is Cooper. Just so's you know!

I would like to find out what’s the reason for using a horse picture for “Running the Risk”. I was initially thinking that Dax might take on a new form which is the horse, but he apparently did not and a horse is never mention in your story at all! (except if you’re trying to talk about Lisa’s pony.)  
 
Also, could you tell me more about skinwalkers? What are they? What do they do? By the way, I am in love with your Shapeshifter books!! I have yet to read the DRAMATIC CONCLUSION though! Please write more! Write a sixth book if you can!! The names are also very creative if I might add … … Oh, another thing. When will the unabridged audio CD of the other four books be released? I am rather lazy to read (oops) and listening to it being read for me would be great!

P.S. You really should write another book for The Shapeshifter series. Your page-turning novels grip me from beginning to end. Love them!!

OK - the horse thing confuses a lot of people! Initially it was meant to have a rider on it, which would make sense because of the fox hunt scene, early on in Running The Risk. But the person on the horse just didn't look right so was removed. So there you have it!  
 
The next Shapeshifter Audio CD is for Running The Risk and that's out in Spring 2009 - you'll have to make enquiries at your local library though. Get them to order it in!

I love your books. I have read all your Shapeshifter books. It would be great if you made more but like you said, you'll only make five. I love your books so much I sat in bed for hours until I finished the book. I saw the otter pawprints at the end of the book and thought how strange they're not fox paws!  
 
But as an answer to your question, what Cola would you rather be, I would have the powers of Dax but have an easy life. It would be cool to have Mia's power too, but I'd prefer to shapeshift. When my friend asked me, if you could make into a film which one would it be? And I just said that's easy, the Shapeshifter series of course!  
 
I was just wondering if that fox at the end of all your books is your pet? Is a fox/peregrine/otter your favourite animal? A fox is defintely my favourite but I love dogs too.

It would be hard to choose between a fox, a peregrine and an otter, but I think the fox just about wins for me. The fox in the picture is not (sadly!) my pet, but a lovely semi-tame creature called Eleven (spooky?!) at the Hydestile animal sanctuary in Surrey. They were kind enough to let me get her into a photo with me. She wasn't all that keen, to be honest! But she was lovely. A really fab experience.
